Drucker Institute

The Drucker Institute is a social enterprise based at Claremont Graduate University. Our mission is strengthening organizations to strengthen society. Our programming is built on: YESTERDAY/TODAY/MONDAY*. “Yesterday” refers to our roots in Peter Drucker’s timeless wisdom. “Today” speaks to the urgency we know leaders feel when facing challenges and opportunities. And “MONDAY*” points to our ability to quickly move executives from ideas to action to results.

About this Course

“Time Management: Know Thy Time,” will help you manage your time more effectively by giving you timeless insights from the late Peter Drucker.

The course will be delivered through: lectures by Drucker Institute instructors; dynamic animations to help you visualize concepts; excerpted readings from Drucker books; original video footage of Drucker himself*; and engaging activities to get you moving from ideas to results.

In this course, you'll learn:

  • The importance of keeping track of how you use your time
  • How to identify what Drucker called the "four big time-wasters"
  • How to set priorities and how to set what Drucker called "posteriorities" - a kind of "not-to-do" list

You'll then come away with a concrete, personalized action plan for taking these lessons and putting them into practice.

(*Original Drucker/BNA video footage is shared here with the generous permission of The Drucker 1996 Literary Works Trust.)
